And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

Someone wanna go correct the last post in Firefly, which attempts to spoiler-font something and fails?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, good thing I'd already seen that spoiler. Sigh.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Am I supposed to be on that admin mailing list?

There's two different "lists". One is just a POP/IMAP/WebBasedMail mailbox that some Admins access regularly. All you need is the server info and password. That's where the new member emails go. The other is a "normal" listserv that hasn't had any traffic in weeks that I know of.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

IIRC, ita sent the password for the mailbox out via the list, so if you changed e-mail, you might not have gotten it. I can send it to you when I get home (real late tonight, our time).

John, insent to your profile address.

(Remembered the password).

Thanks for that. Should I be looking at the other mailbox regularly? And what am I looking for when I do it? Apart from things like the creator of Buffy actually signing up!

I'm really not cool, am I?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Just the occasional question or request for a password reset. 95% of the messages are of the auto-generated "JoeShmoe is the newest Buffista" variety.

Usually, the only things in there are the sign-up messages (of which there have been a ton lately), and very occasional "I forgot my password" e-mails, which you can handle if you see them first. Oh, and we've started getting spam, which has to be dumped.

Is it possible to get an announcement list set up for Bay Area Buffistas?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Done.

To start a subscription for an address, for example "john@host.domain", just add a hyphen and your address (with '=' instead of '@') after the command word: t bayarea-subscribe-john=host.domain@buffistas.org
