Let me just say that popularity with people on public transportation does not equal literary respect. --Jesse

Books up for grabs! If anyone wants any of the following books, email me at my profile address and I'll get it in the mail to you shortly. Some are hardback, some paperback, some in excellent condition, some in crummy condition. I'm happy to answer questions about them too (over email, or in literary, I don't hang in natter). All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I've got another show opening...

Jammin' With Pops

I can get comps and/or discounts if people would like to see it. Opening is Monday night.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

The poll is spoilery for unAmericans for this season of Angel, so if the leader of your free world is not Bush (and hey, it's good to be you!), take note before the vote:

Rob Hall of AlmostHuman, the studio that has designed the demons for Angel since season three, in their humbling latex generosity, are bringing along a few of their creations to the Wolfram & Hart Annual Revue.

We couldn't decide who everyone really wanted to see, so Rob suggested polling the fans. "Fantastic idea," said I.

Pick your favorite Angel demon.

Any NewYorkistas not on the mailing list or those Buffistas in the city next weekend:

Whether you celebrate Chrismukkah, Festivus, or some other made-up TV holiday, join me, Jess PMoon, Tom Scola, and other NewYorkistas at a Holiday Game Night on Saturday the 13th at my place in Brooklyn.

And by holiday I really just mean drinking will be involved--getting into the spirit(s) of the season so to speak. No holiday games will be harmed during the making of this game night.

Christmas carols may be played; other musical (and game) contributions welcome but songs involving Santa, red-nosed animals, or any variation of the word "rock" are strongly discouraged. They make the Baby Jesus cry.

Email me at my profile addy for directions and details.

ETA: Lurkers welcome!

Another social casualty...

If any Baltimore/DC-istas know of anyone who would like to become an Office Administrator (that is, a Receptionist/Executive Assistant) in Downtown Baltimore (South Charles St.), e-mail me or have them e-mail me at justkim71 AT yahoo.com.

I don't know the pay rate, but I do know they are looking to hire relatively soon. and the candidate should be able to multitask and handle a lot of stress. The good news is that the previous holder of the position is taking on new duties and will be there in the office to provide training and help.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Anyone seen the new FHM Mercedes McNab pics?

Non-spoilery text accompanies the photos.

Attention Boston-area Buffistas:

I'm hosting a small Firefly DVD release party this Friday, Dec. 12th, starting around 6pm.

I am also collecting donations for our second annual coat & clothing drive all week and at the party.

I'm a Buffista lurker only; I mostly post at the Fox Firefly Board under nadjaunseen (just so you know I'm not some nutjob inviting unsuspecting Buffistas to my lair). :)

Email me (see profile) if you'd like to come by and/or donate to the drive, and I'll send you the details. Thanks!

YOU CAN'T TAKE THE SKY FROM ME!
