All is well that ends in pizza.

As tax deadline approaches, have you done yours?

If you made under $27,000 you can usually do your taxes for free online at:

[link]

It's cool, and it can access a lot of your data, including W-2 and 1099s and file electronically.

"The Intuit Financial Freedom Foundation is pleased to offer free online tax preparation and filing to hard working Americans and their families who have an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $27,000 or less, or who are eligible to claim the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) using Intuit's TurboTax® for the WebSM service."

"If you are one of the approximately 60 million American taxpayers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $27,000 or less for 2002, or who can claim the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), you qualify!"

Attention Seattle-Area Buffistas!

I have a copy of Tuesday's show, which, as we know, is being PRE-EMPTED for baseball. I am willing to host some sort of "We Won't Wait Until Sunday" Buffy thing, if there is interest.

Please email me at the profile address if this sounds at all appealling.

Hi all,

I've written an article on renewable energy. It argues (with support ) two points;

1) That the most carbon intensive society on earth (The U.S.) could switch to renewables , use no more than it's fair share of carbon (allowing for full poulation growth, at a price lower than it pays now.

2) That what prevents this is due not just lack of full social pricing or even only actions by wicked corporation, nor laziness on the part of ordinary people, but institutional and structural problems built into our economic system.

Both of these take some effort to prove; so it is about 20,000 words not counting references. I'm planning to submit it for publication; additional beta readers are appreciated. My profile addy is good. It is in Microsoft Word format, but I can convert it to just about anything. If you'd like to beta it, let me know - and tell me your preferred format.

Thanks

Gar

In Firefly news, AICN already reported this but Tim has now confirmed that Fox will be releasing all the filmed episodes on DVD in 16/9 format. No word yet on release date.

Nobody

I get the Consumer Safety Alert news letters. I don't usually post them here, but this seemed like it might be something some Buffistas needed to know about, especially vegetarian and vegan Buffistas:

SafetyAlerts.com

White Wave Has Recalled Vanilla Silk Soymilk Reason: May contain a caustic, sodium hydroxide based material used to clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment. Distribution: Nationwide.

And may I just say, yuck.
