Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey Buffistas! It's been a while, but it's about that time again -- time to contribute to the board's upkeep. Whether you post all the time, recently delurked, or haven't posted yet, you can make a small donation to keep us up and running. We have an incredible thing here, but can only keep it going with everyone's help.

No amount too small! (No amount too large...) Paypal to donations at buffistas dot org, or email me for my new address, if you want to send a check.

Thanks!

Voting is now open for the following proposal:

To set an opening date of December 1st and a closing deadline of March 31st for the Goodbye and Good Riddance Thread. As of the last day of February, any ungifted Santa or Slacker Santa giftees will have the option to throw their names back into the pool to be gifted by other volunteers, which will be a way for people who found themselves unable to gift for one reason or another to bow out gracefully and for everyone to get closure on the year without the thread going on for months.

The discussion for this proposal starts here.

Voting closes Saturday (November 14, 2009) at 7PM (PST).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Hi!! I'm really quite proud of the agency that I work for (non-profit that houses the homeless and provides support systems to let them keep their housing) and we now have a video on You Tube!! It's a total promo video, but I'm really proud and want to get the hits up on it, so if you have a spare 8 minutes, take a look see!! [link]

Remember the Secret Santa Exchange?

If not, then this is a reminder: Anyone interested in exchanging small presents with other Buffistas during the holiday season, email me at my profile address with your Buffista name and a snail-mail location to which people can send your present.

Please try to email me by November 20. I'll match names and send out notices by November 22, to allow for lots of present buying/making and mailing time.

Your truly,
Tiny Jewish not-Santa

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I decided to go public.

Please join me in my nascent writing project/life journey/trendy action:

Only caveats: I'm not linking to the Phoenix or using my real name - it's public, but I want a layer of semi-pseud.

Thanks if you want to drop by.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey guys -- Thanks to those of you who sent in money for board upkeep recently! But we could use some more.... Give thanks for the Phoenix this Thanksgiving! (And/or this random week in November, for those of you not in the US.) Paypal to donations at buffistas dot org, or email me for my address if you want to send a check. Thanks, y'all.

I'm trying to land an adjunct gig teaching an Adolescent Lit class, and am putting together a sample syllabus.

Please visit my page and make recommendations for a reading list or 6-12th graders, or for my require reading list!

I appreciate the expert opinions!
