FREE STUFF!
15GB Dell Digital Jukebox with carrying case, sync cable, and charger cable. No installation CD (but you can probably download drivers from dell.com). Not Mac-compatible as far as I know. [taken!]
Mostly-dead Compaq Presario laptop, CM2080 series. I have no idea what OS it's running -- it came with Win98, but we may have upgraded to XP at some point. Power supply and hard drive are both seriously wonky -- this is not a reliable computer, but might be useful for parts.
Both free to a good home (or an abusive one...really we're not picky!) for the price of postage. My profile addy's good.
LAistas:
If anyone would like to join Tom Scola, the Miracleborns (complete with REALLY CUTE princess), and ND & me at our house on April 8th (yep, that's Easter), the Empress and I are making a full-on brunch. We'll be having Noah's bagels, various types of eggs, bacon, huevos rancheros, smoked salmon etc. etc. etc.
Email me if you're interested and I'll send you directions and add you to the food count.
That's right -- it's time to mark your calendars! SoCal's prodigal poets Victor D. Infante & Lea C. Deschenes return to their old stomping grounds for the first time in more than a year with a pair of shows in Los Angeles and Orange County! Both poets have been busy writing this past year, so expect to hear a lot of new poems and see a couple new chapbooks. Exciting!

About the Poets:
Victor D. Infante co-founded some of Southern California's seminal poetry readings, including The Near-Infamous Poetry on Thursdays at Huntington Beach's Java Garden and the Big Damn Poetry Slam at the Blue Cafe in Long Beach. Even after moving to Worcester, Mass., he's continued to write about poetry for OC Weekly, and is the editor in chief of The November 3rd Club, an online literary journal of political writing, and the author of the How To Succeed As A Failing Writer column for GotPoetry.com. His work appears in a goodly number of publications, including the forthcoming anthology Spoken Word Revolution Redux.
Lea C. Deschenes is a veteran of several slam teams, and will receive her MFA in Poetry in July 2007. Author of eleven chapbooks, she was a 2004 Jacob Knight Award recipient and a 2000 Pushcart Prize nominee. Her work has appeared in several publications, including Ballard Street Poetry Journal, Henniker Review, Spillway, Snakeskin, Incidental Buildings & Accidental Beauty and So Luminous the Wildflowers.
I'm in the news! The interview I did with the Toronto Sun is up today. [link]
(If anyone could help me get a print copy of the interview, that would be swell. Apparently they used a photo I sent them in the printed paper and everything!)
Hey y'all! We need to do some sort of upgrade thingy for the board, which will cost us some money. (For actual information, see here: ita "Buffistas Building a Better Board ++" Mar 2, 2007 7:40:08 pm PST )
So, if you're able to contribute to the board now, please do! Every little bit definitely helps -- we've been up and running all this time on voluntary donations, and we can keep doing it as long as you people keep donating. Voluntarily.
You can send dough via paypal to donations at buffistas dot org, or email me at that same address if you want to mail a check, or work out some other arrangement.
Thanks!
A friend of mine had a comic strip launch last week.
Little Dog Lost hit papers nationally last week. It's pretty funny! Look for it in your comics pages--and if it's not there, ask for it!

LAistas: Insent with details on Scolapalooza brunch this Sunday. If you didn't get an email, I don't have your email address. Just ping me at my profile addy and I'll forward you the details posthaste. All localistas are welcome.
Since I upgraded my Sims to Sims2, I have an entire set of
The Sims for Mac
-- all of the supplements, too -- just looking for a new home. First taker gets them for the price of mailing them out -- let me know via fauxpaws AT comcast DOT net. -- Taken!
Would anyone like a screener DVD of Peacekeeper Wars? IIRC, it's very close to the broadcast version (including near-final vfx/sound), plus you get the nifty little booklet of press notes that came with it (synopsis, bios, etc).
