Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I have two free Pro Flickr accounts to give away.

Flickr is a very slick, easy to use photo sharing web site. It's much, much better than ophoto or yahoo. (It was, in fact, recently purchased by Yahoo).

A professional account would be ideal for someone who has lots of pictures to share -- for example, someone with a newborn baby.

A free account on Flickr is also quite nice. Check out the difference between a free and a pro account, and if you think you'll be able to make use of a Pro account, please let me know. You'll need to sign up for a free account before I can upgrade you to a pro.

(My photos, by the way, are here.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

DF has positions available for experienced loan officers. If you know of anyone in the mortgage business looking for a new job in the DC/Baltimore area or if you need more information, let me know. Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). The company is a division of a federally chartered bank and licensed to do business in all fifty states.

Profile addy is good.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

This in from Thessaly:

Where Your Mouth Is [link] will be moving to it's new home at the Quinsigamond Community Center [link] at 16 Greenwood Street, Worcester and its new time at 8PM starting with our benefit next Thursday, April 28th. Please pass the word, as we're doing this last minute and want to make sure no one gets left out.

Come out and help us raise money for Worcester County Food Bank [link] with Regie Gibson, Tony Brown & Patty Keough and celebrate our new space! Doors for the show will open at 6:30, $15 donation, $10 with Student ID.

Let's take it to the (renovated) church, people!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hi, all.

Listen, I'm going to write an essay, try to get it published in either an educational journal or a magazine.

I want to write about the formative experiences that have resulted for me, personally, on the internet, especially this board, and how communities like this have far-reaching tendrils that affect a myriad of people.

To that end, I am requesting information. You all know me well enough to feel comfortable giving me some deets...what I don't already know, that is!

I would LOVE it if people would send me an email, subject line NET ESSAY to eringriggs at hotmail dot com.

I'd like some bio info -- don't need real names, but they'd be great, but I'd like age, profession, hobbies, any noteworthy accomplishments, and any statements you'd like to make about this community or on internet communities in general. How they've affected you life -- perspectives on the world, sex, politics, religion, art, music, whatever.

I may ask some follow-up questions, and I'll be posting my results and my essay in "Writing."

Like I said, I want to get it published, but even if not, it'll be at the very least, an interesting monograph.

Questions and replies welcome. Bring on the info!

And thanks.

Mostly lurking...

RE: Erin's project.

I just e-mailed her all of the survey information that I've gathered over the last year for my school project. If you DO NOT want your survey information included in Erin's project, please e-mail me at my profile addy ASAP, so I can let her know.

Also, we will probably be sharing info as I continue to work on my project. If you give info to one, it will probably be passed on to the other. If that is not ok with you, please be sure to let us know.

Thanks! We both appreciate it.

Word. And FYI, any and all people who I quote or mention in my essay, I will vet and get permission before I send it out to be published.

Compassionately intolerant

Just came in from an estate sale up the street where I noticed a box of VHS production tapes of Felicity. Apparently, someone in the house worked on the show.

The gentleman of the estate noticed my noticing and said that if I knew anyone who was interested, I could have them.

I have niether, vcr, nor tv, nor knowledge of the show, but if anyone around here would like them, for the cost of shipping (or picking up for DCistas/Marylanders, etc.), I will gladly toddle off down the street and collect them.

Profile addy is good, and before 4 today would be best (as the sale is ending and the house is sold...I fear the bin is their next stop, otherwise.)

Oh! I regret that I did not count the tapes but I think there are around 20. One title I saw was "The Christening".

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Would anyone like to housesit for us over Memorial Day? We will be away from the 25th to the 31st of May. We have a one bedroom in Beautiful Burbank, and you would have washer/dryer, Direct TV, free long distance, and we'll stock the fridge with all your favorite foods. Duties would be taking care of two friendly cats and watering our plants. Contact me at profile addy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I just want my fellow Somervillains to know that I really TRIED. As soon as my friend, who had bought me a ticket to the Serenity preview next week got off the phone -- she having just gotten through after many tries to Fandango for tickets -- I immediately tried to grab some tickets for you all. But Fandango said it was already sold out!

Just in case, I then went up to the Loews Boston Common in person, stood around until it opened up at 12:30 and waited in line to enquire about preview tickets. But they really were sold out completely.

So I tried, okay?
