Remember, remember/the fifth of November/the Gunpowder Treason and Plot/I see no reason/Why Gunpowder Treason/Should ever be forgot.

My last surviving grandparent passed away tuesday morning, Ines Camara. Since she was living in Portugal and local custom is for speedy burials, only my parents were able to finagle their way onto a TAP flight in order to make the Wednesday morning service.

Oddly enough, that is the thing I am most upset at, that I won't be able to make it.

hip deep in pie

It would be appreciated if some of the patented Buffista jobma could be directed my way tomorrow AM. I have an interview for the position I am acting in right now. There are pretty good odds that I will get the job, but I don't want to jinx myself!

Well I have snost and lost.

Buffistas jobma can't be beat - my husband has received an offer on the job he interviewed for on Tuesday! Now let the moving (from PA to MA) begin... Speaking of which, if anyone has an info on the Marlborough, MA area (or w/in 30 min of that area), we'd appreciate it. The em address in my profile is good. Thanks!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I could use some jobma too. I just received word today: the subsidiary that I've been chasing for a transfer for the last six months just had a position open up. I'll have an interview sometime in the next couple of weeks, I think.

If I get this job, I'll be able to combine my experience in the US with my actuarial qualifications. But most importantly, it's in Sydney. I'd be able to come home.

God, I need this.

Hell, I might as well jump in the jobma pool. Amy's DH's department is looking for a new administrative assistant. I need to get off the endless phone center grind. He asked Amy if she thought I'd be cool with him mentioning the family angle and the near sole support of a perpetually ailing hubby, and I finally said, "Yes, dammit, if it gets me some brownie points, play up the bizarre twists of fate." They're taking their time making decisions, but I could do this job. The pay has to be more, but while that's a real biggie I'm not expecting twice what I'm making, just a chance to get out of the endless rut. So, good thoughts, both for my prospects and the bizarre mental deviation that says I'm tempting worse catastrophes for trying to improve my lot.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hi all, I'm refinancing my house in order to consolidate bills. Please send housema that I'm doing the right thing when I sign tomorrow.

Also, my unemployment runs out in three weeks. If people could refresh the jobma, I'd certainly appreciate it.

OK. This is my first attempt at dipping my toes into the waters of 'ma'.

I have a job interview for a position at the Office of Workplace Relations (Industrial Relations) in exactly 12 hours time. Please direct some of the famed Buffista jobma downwards to the Southern hemisphere in 11-12 hours time, it would be very much appreciated.

Asking for jobma for approximately three hours hence. I'm interviewing for the position in Sydney I've been chasing, and I'm getting the interview jitters. (Of course, packing for San Diego doesn't really help on that score.)
