All is well that ends in pizza.

I'd like to thank the Buffista who took it upon themself (is that a word?) to find out my snailmail address and send me a check to help out with the bills while unemployed.

I'm verklempt.

Of course, being from the midwest, having guilt about cashing it...haven't yet.

My new end date at work is now August 22. I think this one will stick.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

I have a second round of interviews with the same company I interviewed at last week. They're having me meet with HR, the CTO, and the people who would be my immediate co-workers. Jobma and endurance-ma would both be greatly, greatly appreciated between 3:30-6 Eastern (12:30-3pm board time).

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Just to prove it can be done:

Today is our twentieth wedding anniversary. We survived a kid, the job markets of one point one Bushes and a Reaganomics, multiple sclerosis, and numerous rescued cats.

Now we're officially working on the next twenty.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

They went with another candidate.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The work deluge has finally hit. I'll probably be gray (aside from brief destressing visits) until sometime in September or until I defeat a balrog, whichever comes first.
