Saffron: I'll die. Mal: Well, as a courtesy, you might start getting busy on that, 'cause all this chatter ain't doin' me any kindness.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I probably won't get time to post this tomorrow, so: come about 3:00 pm, I'll be going dark for two weeks or so as Bec and I traipse around Spain. There'll no doubt be tales to tell when I get back, most likely how many times we passed out from heat exhaustion.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Thessaly and I are off to a wedding in Syracuse in a few minutes. Doubt we'll be around until Sunday or Monday.

TTFN.

I've been working on a song about the difference between analogy and metaphor.

Quality stuff that jobma.

What DS said. I got the offer for the new job. V. pleased. Much cooller company, and pays better.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

duh... moved to press

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

May I add my voice to the chorus of requests for Jobma? I've put in an application for the job at the school where I'm on placement just now. If there is ANY justice I should get it, 'cause I'm all enthusiastic and smart and kid-liking hard-working and generally a Damned Good Choice. And I live on the street next to the school. And, and, and...and there are other, better qualified applicants who also want the job, damn them. But it must and shall be mine! Maybe. Hopefully.

....jobma? please?

In an hour, the Supershuttle will be (or, damn well better be!) picking me up to take me to the airport to start my long long flights to Korea! I'll be there for a week and a half, and have no idea what kind of internet access I'll have...

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

In a fit of greater-than-usual klutziness, I managed to completely fry my laptop last night. So until I manage to build something that works out of duct tape and baling wire, I'll be around while at work, but even grayer than usual evenings and weekends.

Hellbound Equal-Opportunity Nookie Hog

The DH is being recommended for a face-to-face interview with a nice, small company with lots of generous angels (no venture capital!) backing it and a hiring manager who is friends with one of my sweeties. It's the same one I mentioned earlier this week. They actually called him on a Sunday for an unannounced phone interview because they're too busy on weekdays. Please send jobma. Thank you.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

A quickie, almost-certain-confirmation update, for those planning on doing my book launch week of events for The Weaver and the Factory Maid, or any part thereof:

Just talked to St. Martin's, and they want Weaver for the Christmas market. This only affects the original projected timetable by about ten days; official release date is 1 December, with general availability being 5 November. Since I was planning on doing the launch party late October, there's not a huge difference there.

But please do let me know, if you want to be kept up on scheduled events and the big old party we're planning to throw to celebrate the launch. And let me know, if you're coming to San Francisco for the launch (or any other reason!), if you need a bed for the trip. Profile mail is fine.
