Now, this would be the perfect time for a swear word.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Going an uncertain shade of grey for a few weeks due to Big Work Stuff. Love y'all.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Dark dark grey from tomorrow until at least Saturday, if not Monday. I'll be at a conference. Profile addy good, don't know how much I'll be able to check it, though.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Job interview at 2. Vibe me with jobma at 2ish, and with keep-breathing-ma right up until then.

It looks like my jitters were warranted. I just got laid off. After next Friday, I'll be unemployed.

Frail my heart apart and play me a little Shady Grove

Another loss of a former pet for me, third one this year. Maybelle, the long-haired calico, AKA The Kitchen Bitch, succumbed over the weekend. She's had two reprieves since I've known her, first when we adopted her as an older cat from the Humane Society, and last year when thyroid medicine turned her health around tremendously. She lived a full, pampered life, at least at the end, and will be missed.

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts on the loss of these dear ones. They're just dumb animals, yet they're not, you know?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

This is a few days late, but...

I'm back! I'm finally back. My trip is over. The last ten months have been exhilarating, and I'm immensely grateful to all of you who took me in and showed me around (and catered to my Buffy addiction--special thanks to Min, who hooked me hard on Firefly in the space of just four days!) when I was passing through. As if I needed further proof of just how hard the Buffistas rock.

Dude. Now I just have to move out, and graduate, and get a job, and write up some articles about the trip, and organize all my pictures, and...

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Hello from London!

I have less than three minutes left on my voucher here, but I wanted to stop in and say hello!

We walked from Westminster Abbey to the Tower Bridge yesterday, and my feet ACHE. Tomorrow we're planning to go to Stonehenge if the weather stays nice (it's been GORGEOUS).

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Please send a little more healthma and good vibes to my dad. He had a heart attack night before last and now he's in the hospital. Last night, he was moved from the ICU,so that's good news. They've done a lot of tests and we should get some of the results back today, so keep a good thought.
