Our precious Sammie cat just had a seizure and died.

Got the call this afternoon and I am officially an employee of Plymouth-Canton Schools! I will continue working in the ASD center at the local middle school, with kids from 12 - 15. It's challenging work, as most of the students are not verbal and some have issues like trying to walk out of the classroom or various types of shouting, etc, but it's really satisfying, too. I'm really happy about this.

As of yesterday, my mother is back home after convalescing from her broken wrist and pelvis.

This is a rough thing to have to put in writing, but my business is in a bad spot due to expanding last year, and then hitting an epically slow first quarter this year. Unfortunately I'm already stretched to my limit and we cleaned out all of our savings last year in order to buy our house. It's a perfect situation that has me in a position where I could lose the company I've had for more than a decade now. If anyone is in a financial position where they think they might be able to help out I'd be very thankful to hear from you. The business has contracts coming in starting next month, and we have the normal strong business moving forward, and some amazing new clients that have been added, but right now I can't get through the near term.

I'm requesting all the available ~ma for my Dad, who is 83 and was hospitalized yesterday for pneumonia and fluid on his lungs. He was recently diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis after the pneumonia he got over maybe 3 months ago.

My niece Teresa McCullar's house burnt down April 24. Humans OK, but fur babies didn't make it. Our condolences and everyone hug your companion animals tonight.

[link] I wrote this about Georgia.

My niece Teresa and husband Lee are still struggling after the fire which destroyed their house and killed their two adult dogs (including Teresa's own service dog, Zuul) and several future service dog puppies. (Teresa raises and trains service dogs) They have now razed the burned-out house and are living in a camper and also added insulation and bolstering the second story to a sturdy old shed, (wiring it to live in until they can rebuild). They were renovating the house that burned (which had been a schoolhouse and later a creamery)to get it up to code to qualify for insurance. During the fire cleanup, someone stole the new battery out of their garden tractor. They lost two vehicles in the fire, and now the donated van they received just popped a power steering line.
