Also a thing I should do. Thanks for the reminder!
Oh, heck, me too.
Brenda found a notice on Facebook that Frank Dumais, our Frankenbuddha, had died.
We're seeking more information and corroboration.
ETA: It has been confirmed. They think he threw a blood clot and felt no pain.
Goodbye, Friend.
I have been missing from the board for a bit. My mom had the flu, which was too much for her body to handle along with the cancer. She died, peacefully, as I sat on one side and her 91 year old sister sat on the other. My whole family has been wonderful, but I was happy to get home an hour ago. Back in two weeks for the service.
Any health~ma for my dad would be appreciated. We checked him into the hospital for pneumonia in both lungs yesterday, and so far they haven't hit on the right antibiotics to get any traction against the infection.
Please send all the prayers and vibes you can spare towards Seattle. My cousin has just been taken in for emergency surgery for a brain tumor. She lost her job, so has either no insurance or minimal, and is looking at a long, hard recovery.
My dad died early this morning.
My 90 y-o dad fell this morning and injured himself pretty badly. He broke his cheekbone and maybe his jaw and some ribs. But the reason I don't know the extent of his injuries is that while she was at the hospital with my dad this evening, my mom collapsed and died. It seems that she had a massive aneurysm in her stomach that burst. She was 89, and had a lot of cognitive issues, but otherwise seemed relatively healthy.
I think I am in a state that's something beyond shock.
