Illyria: Wesley's dead. I'm feeling grief for him. I can't seem to control it. I wish to do more violence. Spike: Well, wishes just happen to be horses today.

I may have to seize the cat.

I got into school (PhD in Information and Library Science), with a merit assistantship to boot! Stipend + tuition + health insurance, and they can't make me work more than 15 hrs a week on top of classes and homework. Thanks everybody for the ~ma!

Can anyone hook me up with a marine engineer, or other expert who can answer a technical question on freight ships? Profile addy is good.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

As anyone in natter knows, I just bought a house! Still have to go through closing, but still. Me, by myself, on my own...a house. Ok, a townhouse. So the exterior is maintained by the HOA...but MINE.

Anyway - I'd love any advise on home ownership and maintenance. If you know of a good book or something that is a good resource for me to get - I'll take that too. Hit me up at my profile addy.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Can I beg a little of the power of the Buffista ~ma for a premature baby. My work friend had her 5 weeks early and she has been mostly holding up well, but now is backsliding and needing to be back on oxygen. She's not putting on ounces as quickly as TPTB would like.

Some strength ~ma and thriving vibes would be much appreciated!

Dan has signed the paper, and unless something happens to his ex on her long commute tonight, today we will have officially sold OUR HOUSE!

(On the DL until I see her signature on the dotted line. But I had to tell y'all.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Can I get some Please Let This Sale Close This Time ~ma for our rental place? We signed a third sale agreement today, and I'm hoping that's the charm.

Guys I need rental-ma for tomorrow. The house we looked at tonight is MORE than perfect, more than we expected to find. We have the deposit; the landlord just needs to check our info on the app tomorrow and if everything is copacetic, we sign a lease tomorrow night.

We were upfront about having bad credit because of divorce/student loans, but D's income is good, he's worked for his job 10 years, has security clearances, and I have no criminal record, and I told him if he needed character references we would be able to provide truly stellar refs.

Please, please, -ma for tomorrow. I will be a nervous wreck until I hear from him that the application went through OK.

Thank you!

Punishingly Intricate

Buffistas!

It hardly seems possible but, in just about a month, I will doing my 8th Ride for the Feast—riding my bike 140 miles from Ocean City back to Baltimore—to raise money for Moveable Feast of Maryland. Moveable Feast is an amazing non-profit organization that provides free home-delivered meals and many, many other services to Marylanders homebound with HIV/AIDS, breast and ovarian cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses.

I’m committed to raising $1,500—what Moveable Feast spends to feed one client for a year. Please, help me reach that goal: Click this link to donate:

[link]

Crowdrise--the kind of dickish website Ride for the Feast is using to collect donations--defaults to an "Optional Processing Fee" of 10% of what you're donating. This money goes to Crowdrise and NOT to Moveable Feast. Use the "Edit" link next to "Optional Processing Fee" to change this to 0%. Crowdrise refuses to change this default and Ride for the Feast won't be using them in the future.
