Punishingly Intricate

My cousin's wife gave birth to their twins yesterday. They are doing pretty well, considering they were only 26 weeks along, but could use some good thoughts directed their way.

Today, December 9th, is Colorado Gives Day.

When donating through Colorado Gives, all fees are covered and the participating charities can receive bonus funds from the sponsors. Donations are not limited to just folks in Colorado. Anyone who is interested in donating can join the fun.

CJ's Search and Rescue team - Arapahoe Rescue Patrol - is one of the participating charities. If you feel inclined to help out, please go to ARP's page at Colorado Gives. Every dollar makes a difference to this team of all volunteers.

If you have any questions about the team, just hit me up at my profile addy.

Thanks so much!!!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

IKEA has a discontinued bedding pattern called Emmie Land that I'm trying to get ahold of. It's crazy expensive on eBay, etc. If you have some or know someone who does who is willing to make a deal, please let me know! It looks like this:

Profile addy is good. Thanks😄

All is well that ends in pizza.

Any spare ~ma would be appreciated for our 16-year-old cat Harvey.

His hindquarters were weak and Andi took him to the vet this morning.

I missed exactly what she said, but it's a collapsed or prolapsed disk.

We basically have to keep him warm and comfy while he heals.

ETA: His back won't totally heal, but less inflammation should let him walk better.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Collapsed disc. The anti-inflamatory pill we gave him last night has only helped him a little so we're going back to the veterinarian later this morning for cortisone. Please send the kitty~ma.

My baby.

Compassionately intolerant

I just posted a brief remembrance of Bartleby on Facebook. It was three years ago today that he died. And, while I miss him every day, I've gotten to the point where my memories are truly bittersweet, rather than sad.

I can never, ever thank this community enough for your support, that came in so many ways, during that awful time.

Nor can it ever be said enough, what a wonderful, decent and truly amazing group of just plain _good_ people you are.

Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart and my very best wishes in the coming new year.
