Our wings are not tired.

I am behind on B.org for various reasons...but if any of you want to reply to Jonathan Kaufer on my Facebook page (his long comment on my link to the "I am not a wife, sister, or daughter" post, go right ahead! (In case you wanted to reply but weren't sure how I felt about your doing so.)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I need ~ma for an individual I work with. I'll be attending a meeting with him, and I have reason to believe that I will need to advocate for him, as strongly as I can.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Windsparrow ~ma for this individual.

I have been prescribed Tramadol. So far it is controlling the pain, so now to find out if it controls the pain well enough to let me type more than ten minutes at a time.

Doctor has ordered MRI. His best guess as to cause: degenerating discs pressing on a nerve, which previously caused problems in my arm and wrist. Confirming evidence. He did the rubber mallet test and says I have the reflexes of a dead man.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Right, so, I'm going to Europe this summer (leaving May 16. Back July 17.) As I was thinking about this trip, I thought, "I know a lot of people (especially kids) who would love to get postcards. I should create a way for people to ask for postcards." So, I made up a form (see below). If you would like a postcard sent, feel free to fill it out and send it to my profile address (or FB message me, if we're friends there). If you have questions, I will make up answers.

Your name

Person to whom postcard should be addressed

Address to which the postcard should be sent

Desired location(s) from which postcard(s) should be sent (I am planning on being in Sweden, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, and undetermined location(s) in the UK, including London):

Any guidance on what sort of postcard would be most appreciated or particular interests of the recipient:

If the recipient is school-aged, about what grade-level?

Is there some deadline for the postcard (e.g.—if it is for a classroom, the end of school)? If so, what is that deadline?

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Hi, guys. Long time no see.

I'm stopping by because I'm going to be in Chicago the weekend of July 6 (for a high school friend's wedding), and would love to hang out with any Chicagoland Buffistas while I'm there. Flying in on the 4th, most likely, and leaving Sunday.

Also, if anyone knows of a hospitable sofa that's free that weekend I would love to hear about it, because I can afford airfare or hotel but probably not both. Thanks!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am having gall bladder surgery next Thursday at noon; ma is appreciated. Laproscopic, outpatient surgery, so I'll be home that evening.

Made the appointment yesterday, Mr. Gall Bladder got bitter and spiteful, and I had attack #5 this AM. Landed me finally in the ER where I'd been trying to avoid but the, um, blinding pain and my surgeon's advice made me capitulate with alacrity (and I got IV Dilaudid after 2 1/2 hours there, 2 hours of pain at home, geez -- but that stuff is MAGIC.)

That is all.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Some good news for a change! I have been hired by my university as supplemental instructor for Chem 101: Chemistry for Elementary Teachers.

I also got my student teaching assignment yesterday in the district I really wanted. It's been a great couple of days.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Can I get some cat-ma? When I picked Charlie up from spending the weekend at the vet for kidney stuff, they told me to bring him back in if he didn't eat for 24 hours. He didn't eat last night or this morning, so we're going over there shortly.

Always Anti-fascist!

My Jack Russell, Betsy, had some kind of attack last night...this morning the vet said it was renal failure. It's already way too quiet in here. She was fourteen, so she wasn't deprived, but...
