Now tagless for your comfort.

Thanks for the continuing ~ma. My sister got to hold her son for the very first time today! The hemorrhaging in his brain appears to have stopped and the heart murmur is getting fainter--which means it should be closing. If it continues, they will be able to start feeding him the breastmilk Lori has been pumping.

All in all, a good day for the family!

OK, y'all, I need Buffista magic here.

Please vote for my entry, Erin G., at [link]

I'm 35 votes behind the top contenda, and I want to win this web design course. I need it BADLY and cannot afford it, although I've been eyeballing it for about 6 months. (It burns me that some of the entrants with more votes ALREADY HAVE COOL SITES! WTF?!)

Thanks to everyone who has voted already, and if you vote, thank you, thank you!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just got back from having to put Perkins the cat to sleep.

He may not have been the smartest cat around, but he was pretty fucking awesome all the same and I'll miss him, a lot.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

From Stephanie via Twitter:

Water broke; see you all in the flip side (and feel free to share info). I'm a little preoccupied.

I'm taking the liberty of posting here because, see above, preoccupied.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Until late last night was "dark" in a more literal sense than the term is usually used here. No power, no heat, snowed in, so no mail, trash pickup, newspaper delivery. phones worked, gas burner for cooking worked, phone worked, so could have called for emergency vehicles if it had been life or death. Turned refrigerator/freezer into old fashioned icebox with snowpacks made from plentifully available snow and garbage bags. Really nice not to have to shave by flashlight this morning.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Because it's nice to have some good news to share for a change: my contract got extended again, with indication that it will be extended again in the future, at least until the project is well and truly online.

Hey gang, any health~ma you can spare for my 87-year-old cousin would be greatly appreciated. She's recovering from heart problems and pneumonia (both of which medications seem to have gotten a handle on), but is only slowly getting her strength back and is now being bothered by a pain in her hip that's limiting her mobility.

Guys --

Someone you will remember my friends Gary and Traci, whose 2nd baby boy was born last year with heart problems, which required immediate surgeries and extended hospital care. Several Buffistas donated money. (Thank you!)

They've been selected to be the 2012 Ambassador Family for the March of Dimes.
