Ann, that's a ferret.

Medical~ma requested for Hubs. He was admitted to the hospital overnight Monday/Tuesday. He has asked that I not be specific about the problem, but any ~ma would be appreciated.

“Not dead yet!”

X-post with F2F:

SoCal-isats, I'll be in Long Beach from 11/2-11/5 for a ballroom competition. This is my first big one, out of my local area, so to say I'm nervous is understating it. So far, what I know is I'll be competing Thursday and Friday, single dance events during the day and the scholarship events (where I do all of the dances in one go) on those same evenings after 8PM. The event is taking place at the Westin Long Beach.

not your mom's socks.

Thank you for the ~ma everyone. DH's grandmother passed this morning. She told everyone she was ready to go, so there's that.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

May I request some extra ~ma for DH tomorrow, starting around 11 am EDT? He will be undergoing surgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital as part of his ongoing treatment against the melanoma.

The surgeons will be removing the remaining lymph nodes attached to the cancerous area (approx. 40-60 they said), and it's going to be a long day in surgery for him, and the waiting room for us. I'll try and update as I can. Here's hoping for no complications.

DH is out of surgery. Everything went well for the most part. Had some airway issues and the surgeon found more internal scarring from the first surgery than she anticipated. The pathology report will be back on a week. He'll be in overnight but the doctor doesn't see any impediment to him going home tomorrow.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We are so damned lucky to have you all pulling for him.

In a happy bout of news, I found out this morning that my National Board Teaching Certification was renewed for another ten years. I am very happy and proud; the portfolio for renewal was quite the process.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hello! I got a new phone and lost all my damn contact numbers. Please shoot me an email at my profile addy (I just changed my profile addy, btw) if you'd like me to have it, or you can text me. My phone number hasn't changed.

Compassionately intolerant

Bartleby needs a bit more ~ma.

He has been recovering really well, but this morning, he began 'reverse sneezing' and actual sneezing and then spraying blood and clots out of his nose . (white fonted for the squick factor.

We went back to the hospital and they gave him epinepherin and recommended that I dope him up with benedryl. I'm watching to see if he gets drowsy.

They don't think there is a connection between this and the trauma of Wednesday, so it's a mystery.

Please. Healing with no more intervention necessary ~ma would be greatly appreciated.

It is going from bad to worse for Bartleby.

We went to the hospital yesterday to deal with the nose issue and we'll have to go back tomorrow due to a completely bizarre new issue.

Honestly, I'm losing my mind. I can't figure out how all this seemingly random stuff is related.

Today, going down the stairs, I noticed a blood spot in a place other than his usual blood spot on his backside. It seems a brand new hole has just spontaneously opened up on his haunch.

When I came home there was a huge blood stain on the carpet.

I just don't know.

I suspect that the surgery I have been trying to put off for the last few years will be required now...but how soon after one surgery is it safe to do it again?

I have been going to all my friends, begging for financial help. Pride is no longer my friend. I'm thinking of things I can sell and feel like I should wear a tshirt that says, "Will solve problems for surgery."

All the petty issues in my life has gone by the wayside. Nothing else matters now.

Please keep the ~ma coming and I'd gratefully receive any prayers available.

Bartleby is everything to me.
