Back from surgery. One part they could not get so biopsy will determine if that part is cancer or not. If cancer then radiation therapy cause surgery not possible there Percoset is not my friend - made me feel worse than waking up from op which is why I'm posting this morning instead of last night.Just recovered from percoset.
In two days, my roller derby league will be hosting and competing in our very first home bout. A little sanity ~ma and possibly some not-cut-a-bitch~ma may be needed before the first whistle blows.
A little more jobma can be released into the universe...Ethan started his new job today as Editor and lead movie writer at TWOP! No news yet on whether or not Tina Fey wants to be my best friend, but since they're working in the same building I assume it's only a matter of time.
My uncle passed away about a half-hour ago. I will be even more dark grey than usual. Thank you for the good thoughts, prayers and support.
I can haz condo! Well, I can pay for it anyway. Paperwork gets filed on Friday, and then I actually get keys. Perhaps of more import here, I will have a spare bedroom (hint, hint).
I don't think I've mentioned it here, but I'm currently working towards certification as a high-school teacher of English and Social Studies in North Carolina. Tomorrow morning, I'm taking the Praxis II test for Social Studies. If you feel so inclined towards me, I'd sure appreciate your kind thoughts.
When they removed the lesion what was left behind was not only non-cancerous. The "diffuse" area they could not remove was just irritation and inflammation. They removed everything that needed to go. No radiation therapy. And I've now healed enough to eat lettuce. I did not realize how important lettuce was to me until I had to live without it for two weeks.
I live in New Orleans now.
Happy Buffista -ma requested! Many of you know our dear friend Cricket. She is up for a Tony in Sound Design for a play tonight, and it would mean so much for her to win it. She is the first woman to be nominated in this category.
You won't see it live since the Tony's don't broadcast the technical awards (don't even get me started) but there will be YouTube if she wins. Fingers crossed!!!
Cricket didn't win (sad face!), but we are still very happy and proud of her. She got a Tony nom on her first Broadway design--not too shabby!
