If I could have some surgery- and outcome-ma for my brother, I'd be greatful. He was diagnosed with neuropathy in both feet six months ago, and had pretty much gotten the diagnose that it was degenerative and he'd have to live in a wheelchair. However, he recently got an MRI which revealed that he has a ligament pressing against his spine, which is causing the problem, so he's scheduled for surgery later this week, or early next (they need to make sure some prescription meds are out of his system before surgery).

This is actually good news, in that there's a good chance he won't be in a wheel chair and will be mostly back to normal (there may have been some permanent damage). He's seriously p.o.ed that they didn't do the MRI six months ago, as he might be fully recovered and have been able to make it to Maine for Xmas instead of being in the hospital over the holidays, but otherwise in good spririts.

Grace is having surgery tomorrow at 9:00 AM. We hope that this bronchoscopy will tell us what is up with her. I'd appreciate any ~ma you all can send our way!

Does anyone have a calling card or skype or sOme cheap way to call my brother's Czech cellphone? Hi, I'm in the Frankfurt airport and all the flights are delayed. I emailed him but am not sure he will get it. I'm on Adria airways flight 175 arriving at 345. His number is 420 773 965 509 (and if you do call, post here? I have to leave the wifi in like, 45 min)

Brenda you rock!! Thanks! (now if only I'd actually had time to enjoy the amenities here, as opposed to running from one terminal to another! Grrr)

Good news! They brought my brother into surgery today (earlier than expected), and he's in recovery and seems fine. Hopefully this will clear up the neuropathy problems.

Can I get some iron~ma pointed in the general direction of SC? My nearly 95 yo grandma went into the hospital with severe anemia - they gave her three pints of blood! Not sure of the cause, yet. She's supposed to be released tonight and go back to the doctor in early Jan.
