Seattleistas and well, anyone who might find themselves in the area, I have a reading/booksigning at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park next Tuesday, December 7th (A day that will live in infamy...) at 7PM.
Please, please, please, as many of you as can possibly make it, I'd love to see you because I'm petrified that no one will show up and I'll be sitting at my table directing people to the bathroom (I've had that signing... not fun.) while my children wander off to the manga section because I'm just that BORING.
You can get holiday shopping done... (she says with a winsome smile and batting of her eyelashes).
Just to let y'all know, I just got off the phone with Kathy and she's doing well after her surgery yesterday. In fact, she was watching Jeopardy with her mom when I called! She'll be home sometime tomorrow.

May I ask for some ~ma for my sis? She's gonna take a big and nasty exam tomorrow that will determine how many hoops she'll have to jump through to get into med school. The ~ma will be appreciated.
Crap, just found out that my cousin Bill passed away this weekend. We'd just heard about his liver cancer diagnosis this past week, and before any of the extended family could make arrangements to go see him in the hospital, he was gone.
Any good vibes for his mom, brother, and kids would be greatly appreciated.

Being selfish again.
I turned in my application for the College of Education at my university today. There is a slight chance that because I was a total fucking idiot about 11 years ago that I could be denied. Could I ask for some "Please understand that I was really young and a total fucking idiot and it would have no bearing on my ability to learn how to be a teacher ~~ ma"?
Of course, if WHEN! I do get in and finish, there is a chance that the state of Michigan could deny me my certification, but I will (try to) worry about that later.

Requesting job~ma between now and 12 noon board time; reorg and layoff rumors have been flying around my division for the past couple of days, and officemate and I have been called to meet with the division administrator this morning, sometime before lunch. So, needless to say, going pitch-black until then.
