Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

A while ago I asked for the ever powerful ~ma for my cousin, J, after her car wreak.

I got to see her today. She looked so much better than I expected. Yes, she has very little hair after the brain surgery, but the incision is healing fantastically and she has the kind of head that can carry the GI Jane look. She is in a neck brace for the next 11 weeks at least and a thumb brace for another month. That is it.

More healing~ma would be appreciated. She is so absolutely lucky that this is all that happened in that accident and she is working hard at her various therapies. But it is hard and tiring.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Please send health-ma this way. Drew went into the ER earlier tonight with some lingering pain, and it looks like they are going to admit him. His liver may be inflamed.

Tests are looking good, though they still aren't sure what happened. They are going to keep Drew overnight for observation, but he should be able to come home tomorrow. Thanks for the -ma.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Bro update: I'll just quote his email.

I have a brain tumor known as a primary glioma. It’s relatively small, and I’ve probably had it for a number of years. It can’t be removed, but it can be treated. On August 31st, Dr. Philip H. Gutin will be performing a biopsy at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. He is an expert in brain tumors and Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery. After that, treatment will begin which will consist of radiation and possibly chemotherapy.

::shrugs::

So we know more, but there is plenty left to know. Hopefully, the biopsy will be informative, and will tell what kind of tumor he's dealing with. It sounds like he's found the right doctor, at least. Thank you all for the continued ~ma.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Hey... remember my cat? The wonderful lady who is fostering her has to go stay with her sister in the hospital for 1-2 months starting September 7th. Please let me know if you can help find her a foster foster home. Lagarat at gmail.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

If I could have have big round of -ma for my mother, I'd really appreciate it. She's going in for knee surgery early tomorrow, and at her age it's risky by definition (she's 88). I'd also like some -ma for her rehab, because like the rest of my siblings, I suspect she has no idea how painful it may be, even though it will leave her eventually with less pain than she has now.

Also, I, and some of my siblings, are not sure she actually wants to come out of the surgery (given the risks at her age and all). I have NO IDEA what request here, in terms of wishes, except what is best for her.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Paging Zenkitty - just in case you check in here first, I do not need a wakeup call. Since I'll be going to bed around 4:30. Ta!

Results of anatomy sono - Baby #2 is a girl!

(Unless she isn't, that is. In the words of the sono tech: "Almost definitely a girl, unless something is hiding. I'd say 99% sure it's a girl. Wait, is that...? No, that's the cord. Here are the genitals. Yes, that looks like a girl.")
