"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

In NE Oklahoma and a red tailed hawk just flew into our window. Now hopping with hurt wing. Humane society said call Game Warden. Anybody know of anyone else that might help hurt hawks? I will check for answers in Natter. Thanks.

-Update. Have called a few numbers and been told that the way that I describe the bird it just has a concussion and should recover in 1-3 hours, so the best thing to do is wait. The bird is just sitting by the lake and looking at the water right now, chillin' in the shade. I got close to it a couple times, just to see how hurt it was. That's a big freakin' bird!

-update 2. It's been 3 hours and the hawk still isn't flying. She hasn't strayed far though. Talked to a couple other people and they said this was very normal. Since she isn't full grown and momma bird's nest is only a few yards away, rescue people said momma bird would try and feed her for a couple days even if she is slightly injured. I'm worried about night predators. Rescue people said the hawk should be able to climb a tree to get away from predators...but I would have liked to see some evidence of that for me to believe them.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Could I request some positive patented ~ma for tomorrow, aimed toward NC, please? Much appreciated.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Thank you for the cat-ma. Maggie is feeling much better. At least, she's back to poaching food from the dog's bowl. She's been telling me to go fuck myself a lot, though. I don't think she likes the antibiotics.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got a job! And accepted it! And have to start in a month, and need to find an apartment and move and all of that stuff by then!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Hey Buffistas!

As some of you may know, I'm applying for Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window, which is a really great full scholarship that's given for a semester in Europe. Now, one of the forms I have to give to them is a Certification of Language Proficiency, to confirm I actually know English.

And you know, I could ask from one of my lecturers to sign it for me. But I feel like it would be so much more true, and a hell lot cooler, if one of the Buffista doctors/professors would do so instead: if anyone on Earth knows I know English, it's you, guys. I'd be much obliged to any Buffista doctor or professor who would be willing to sign the form for me. Profile addy is good.
