DC-istas! Kind of last minute (as usual), but I am in need of a place to stay this coming Sunday night, June 28th. I'm presenting Monday at a conference in Baltimore on my own dime.
If peeps wanted to get together for a Sunday dinner, I could probably swing that. I'll be driving up from the Outer Banks (yes, *everything* is happening this week).
If you can host a poor homeless smonster, shoot me a message at my profile addy. Dinner discuss in f2f, I suppose.
Some serious ~ma is needed for a friend of mine. She's being tested for ovarian cancer and should find out the results tomorrow afternoon.

A little ~ma for my pup would be appreciated. She's been throwing up all morning, and we're leaving for CT tomorrow. We have an appointment this afternoon and are really hoping this is something minor.
A wee bit more job~ma would be appreciated. I applied for another job that sounded like a good fit. If only I could get an interview! thanks.
Thanks all for the ~ma for my friend. She does need surgery, but does not have ovarian cancer.
That is Good news Anne. Update on Mom is surgery went fine on Tuesday. Won't get lab results until Monday but doctor anticipates he got everything. Yay!
Just a quick note to say that the movers comoe tomorrow and sometimes after that we will lost our Internet connection, although I do have my phone. Anyway, we fly to New Mexico Friday, spend a few days there and in Colorado and then fly to Philadelphia and drive to DC. So, I will be semi dark gray during the next few weeks. Should reemerge at Ft. Belvoir on July 8.
I don't know how I could have done this without you guys.
I mean, yes, technically I could have done this. But the *how* would have been all different, with so much less of what made this part of my life good.
