I'm also without power, and have been since Sunday night. Crews here are estimating service will be returned Sunday, but I'm really hoping for something before then. There's also no power at my job, so I've been working half-days (kind of nice, but frustrating). Power~ma, if you please?

Well, it's official. Dial just canceled my contract for the Carmen young adult novel.
My brain hurts. I've been combing databases for "La conciencia de la mestiza/Towards a New Consciousness," the last essay in Gloria Anzaldúa's book Borderlands/La Frontera: The New Mestiza. After TokyoPop's contraction and layoffs, and the challenging nature of getting an artist for my steampunk influenced comic Zephyr Dray , they have terminated the contract to do it. So no comic.
Upside, AFAIK, my adventure for the Serenity RPG is still a go, off to prepress last I heard...
