My grandfather passed away this morning. I'll be flying out to Cincy tomorrow and going very dark until probably Tuesday.

Just got word that my mother's eye surgery, while not completely smooth sailing, went pretty well. They are optimistic that she will regain some vision in that eye, and will find out for sure after a month. It was kind of a long day for her as she also moved into her senior citizens apartment. Thanks for all your kind words and support. Releasing the eye~ma back into the wild.

S and I have been in San Francisco, visiting my relatives, and S has had to be taken to the ER. She's doing okay-ish, all things considered, but health~ma and quick-recovery-and-release~ma is appreciated.

They are drawing up dicharge papers for S, and she should be released later today. We will hopefully be driving home tomorrow or Sunday. Thank you all for your love and support.
We have a couple more DVDs we want to watch before we go, but at some point before we leave, I need to hand off a laptop to someone local, so they can hand it off to the unbelievably kind and generous javachick.

S and I are leaving San Francisco today, and need to get a loaned care package back to javachick today, or even to a SF-ista. If local people could email me their phone numbers to my profile addy, I'd really appreciate it. We'd like to get on the road as close to noon as possible, but we have a few errands we need to get done before we leave, so our departure time is a little fluid.
