Chicago area folks...
Who wants to go see The Producers with me tomorrow night? [link] I have one spare ticket.
I officially have accepted a job in Seattle!! Eeeeeeeeeeeek!
Tentative work start date is Oct 8, but hasn't been confirmed by my future manager (eeeeek!) and don't know what the relocation will end up being in terms of when I'll be there vs. here, but...
Eeeeeeek!!
My mom's in the hospital again. Any ~ma would be much appreciated.
I'm thinking of coming to Seattle mid-October for InfoCamp. I have some questions for Seattlistas posted in F2F, about timing and accommodations suggestions. Thanks!
Also, I apparently can't type. Blergh.
Joe has a job! It starts October 1! For at least a few months and probably longer!! WOOOHOO!!
A teensy bit of administrator-ma, because I'm finally meeting with the Section 30 counselor to get retroactive approval for the program I've been in for the next month. I was originally told that this would be pro forma, but there's always the possibility that I was misinformed. I've got all my documents, including my passport, admission letter, S30 approval from DETMA and so on, but... I'd be better off with a good, friendly bureacrat, all the same!
My brother Joe is an exhibitor in Wired magazine's Nextfest, a four day technology festival running today through Sunday. It's in the Los Angeles Convention Centre.
My brother is with the McGill Digital Orchestra. I'm posting this because a) I'm proud of my brother and b) it sounds like a really interesting event.
Wish I could be there!
