There has been a rather important addition to Jilli's Gothic Charm School Store - BLACK

Californistas, ahoy. Especially the TAR-watching ones.
Remeber back a few months ago my sister and I did something called Urban Dare, a sort of mini one-city Amazing Race? We had a blast, and are already lining up folks to do it with us next year.
I just got an email from the race organizer that they've added a few California dates to the calendar:
Urban Dare Santa Monica will take place on Saturday, August 26. The 11AM start will be right on the beach on the south side of the Santa Monica Pier. I have some good challenges lined up for you.
I'm not sure yet where we will start the September 23 Urban Dare San Diego, but the race will cover the downtown area. After the Santa Monica race, I'll go back for more scouting.
Urban Dare San Francisco takes place on Saturday, October 8. Needless to say, there will be some hills on this course.
You can check it out here: [link]
I strongly encourage y'all to check it out. You don't have to be athletes, though it doesn't hurt to be able to jog a few blocks.
My wig and cat and I are in San Francisco (area) safe and sound, despite the best efforts of the Canadian border guard; Park City, Utah; and the bizarre Bay Area highway system to derail us.
I have a place. We're doing paperwork and I'm moving in on Monday. I'm hella happy, and the place is wicked cool. And up on a mountain. I'll be posting pictures...sometime.
I also have a place! The paperwork has been signed, and I'll be moving in at the end of August/beginning of September. It's very pretty and in a nice location.
My MIL, who has terminal brain/lung/bone cancer is in hospital, in a coma, severly dehydrated, malnourished, in renal failure and with dropping 02 stats. The doctors/nurses at the hospital are not optimistic that she will come out of it.
~ma of all kinds would be appreciated.
So very sad.
My mother-in-law passed away this morning, in the arms of her son. So very sad and so very tragic.
This really isn't beep worthy, but I feel like it anyway. I am in my new apartment. My internet is hooked up. I am down a couch. And everything is wonderful. More stories later.
An odd request for vibeage.
Anytime after about one in the afternoon on Friday, any spare "make it happen" vibeage aimed in the general direction of Marin County, California would be deeply appreciated. Basically, I need to see a man about a piano and then I need to see about stepping out of thirty years of shadow and going to Cleveland with said piano.
Sorry to be so cryptic. But for anyone who's sent me "get through one more 6 September" good wishes in the past, if I can pull this thing off, it may make future 6 Septembers a lot easier to deal with.
Thanks.
