We lost Alex at a little after 5:30. I'm going to be in Shreveport on Monday.

Leaving for my sister's bat mitzvah in a minute. On Monday we're leaving for her trip, so I'll be dark for about two weeks.
I didn't get in to Haverford.
FINALLY! My grandfather is home!!!
We're leaving for the airport in a few minutes. See y'all in two weeks!
And someone please, please tape Buffy and Firefly for me?
Okay, my plans are coming together (mwahahahahaaa....). I have a cell phone, thanks to the voluminously lovely, generous, and deserving-of-Buffista-love (all of which is true even if she hadn't lent me her cell phone) vwbug.
The Great Southwestern Emily Tour begins tomorrow.
Tuesday-Friday: Arizona
Friday-Sunday: L.A.
Sunday-Thursday: S.F.
MiracleMan, Aimee, Hecubus, and erikaj will have my cell number (as, obviously, will vwbug). Email access will be spotty at best. Buffista access the same. Very sad. On the other hand: two sightings of my mother, the second brother-sighting in one year, one or possibly two monastery visits, LAistas, Bay Area...istas, and the Grand Canyon, baby, yeah!
Anne, received beee-oo-teee-ful blanket this week, and can't find your e, but will send this off to its rightful owner before xmas.
And, you know, the socks, i could have cried. Nicest thing I've got in a long while.
In the middle of watching The Two Towers last night, Hubby realized his heart rate was pegging at 170, not good for a cardiac patient. I took him to the hospital after the movie--yes, after, he didn't want to "bother" anyone--and this morning they did another angioplasty. His third of the year. They put in another stent, just below the first one, where the artery changes sizes and wasn't properly covered by the first stent. He's doing well, I'll probably bring him home tomorrow. And we'll go see the movie again sometime when he's not having a cardiac episode.
On the plus side, we slam-dunked the yearly deductable for the health insurance back in March, so the whole thing--ER, cath lab, expensive after-market conversions--is free. Snerk.
I'm home. Good to have family. Sister and I share an appreciation for imaginary internet friends.
Viewing is on Fri. and service on Sat.
Have had a really good time remembering with my sisters and parents.
