Some late-night prayers and -ma requested for my best friend, Kerrie, and her family. Her brother texted her (and several other people) earlier this evening that he's "in too much pain" and going to end it. His family has the sherriffs on the lookout for him, but no one knows where he is. I tend to think this is more "cry for attention" than anything else, but if nothing else, this has his family completely freaked. Their mother's health is not the best, and poor Kerrie's in Maryland so can't be with her folks during this. All prayers and vibes are greatly appreciated.

Kerrie's brother came in on his own late Saturday night/Sunday morning. Thanks for the -ma you all provided. A little more as his family tries to help him get straightened out would also be appreciated.
I'm going out of town for two and a half days and will probably be incommunicado during that time. Just in case it was salient...
...so tomorrow I'm going to approach my boss to try to get time off for the F2F. I've been putting this off and putting it off because I am a Big Fat Stinkin' Coward.
All your -ma would be much appreciated, for a limited time, to try to wring a YES out of the employers. (I'm trying to get 7 days off work, unpaid, obviously, and I'm being honest about why. Which means they can just say No if they want to. And I don't know what I'll do if they say No, because I'm damned if I'm going to miss this...)
