All this time, I thought Hunter was a bitch. Turns out she was just hungry.

I'm building a new PC and am at the stage where I'll be cannibalizing drives and cards off the old one, so, shutting down. Hope I return.

Hey. New board.

So a couple of days ago I sent in a resumé and cover letter, on a whim, to a new performing arts school opening next year. The more I thought about it, the more I realized it would be the perfect position for me

I just got an email from the principal, and I have to do a phone interview tomorrow, and I HATE phone interviews, and I would love some phone-interview-ma. Please. Thanks. Bye.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

DCistas, I will be in your fair city this weekend. Staying somewhere near GW, though I don't have the details yet. My cell and email are in my profile if anyone wants to try to get together. Plans for the weekend are vague, but will likely include libations at various establishments.

AnotherAlaskan, who used to post here, just found out that his mother has had a massive heart attack and is not expected to live through tomorrow. He's flying out to LA this afternoon, hoping to get there before she passes. He didn't ask, but I know he would appreciate peaceful passing ~ma for his mom and strength and coping ~ma for himself and the rest of his family.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm grey-ish this weekend -- driving to Mom in PA, then up to the Catskills for family reunion-type action. Thank goodness for iPods, Science Friday podcasts, and the fact that my family is mostly worth all the driving!

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Just a renewed begging for jobma. This week is my last week of employment. Jobhunting has netted me very little so far. Please send me thoughts of right livelihood. OKTHXBYE.
