Herding cats for fun

Could I please have some best-outcome~ma for my friend's new grandson? He's a week old now, but he was born a month early, and now he's got to have a groin hernia repaired ASAP. The doctors are (apparently) calm, but the family is quite upset, especially since little Bennett is the first of his generation. Thank you! I just wasn't going to feel right with my well-wishes for him until I called upon the Buffistas.

Visilurking

So it seems my long job search has (finally) come to an end. A very good firm has extended me a formal offer which I intend to accept next week. As a result, I am releasing from captivity all the job-ma I've horded over the past 14 months.

Unfortunately, this means I will be fading to charcoal, as I spend even less time lurking than I already do.

So, I bought this FM transmitter at the Apple Store, but apparently my iPod is too old and sad to make it work, or some such nonsense. Aaaaand, I didn't realize I had to return it within 14 days (I've been travelling!). Anyone willing to buy it from me? It works fine for anyone else's iPod, it seems, but mine is a few years old. Email me (mearagirl at yahoo) if you're interested!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I got that internship that I'd applied for. Thanks for all the job~ma, everybody.

brillig

I haven't mentioned this here, but I've been looking for a job for the last couple of weeks, currently being without. So I'll take that spare, successful job~ma floating about.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I've got a job with the company I interviewed with twice. It's $8K/year more than the last place that I worked, but it does involve an hour drive each way. Office casual, so I have to wear my nicer clothes.

Still? Job! I start Thursday.

Releasing Job~ma.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

A good friend of mine has a brother who was diagnosed about six months ago with Lou Gehrig's disease. He's declined rapidly and isn't expected to live much longer since he can no longer swallow and has refused a feeding tube. I would greatly appreciate any ~ma and prayers you see fit to send in the direction of Madison to the Awes family. They have done an incredible job of gathering round to take care of him and I know they could use some good thoughts to come their way at this time. Thank you.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I am looking for actual Dog~ma!

My Aunt has always had dogs, beautifully trained, happy, wonderful dogs. In the last eighteen months she lost her two standard poodles, but with my Grandmother ailing it was not the time to acquire a new puppy.

Now that my Gramma has passed we are on a quest to find my aunt a new Standard Bitch -- naturally my thoughts turned immediately to the Buffistas.

If anyone knows of a breeder or shelter with a litter (particularly if closeish to Kentucky) please let me know. My Aunt has no interest in breeding or showing. Profile addy is good. Thanks.
