Releasing a little job~ma back into the wild for thems as needs it. I got offered the position in my department that I applied for (what seems months ago, now) and have accepted it.

Jilli is back from surgery. All is well, she was in and out of surgery in under an hour. She's still groggy and will probably be doing her birthday celebrations this weekend.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Request for interview~ma.

I have a phone interview at 5:30 my time (3:30 Pacific) for a position in one of the bank offices out in SF. I really want this, so that I can make the transition/move with a minimum of worry. So please, send good thoughts and "don't babble too much"~ma toward me then.

Thanks!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

My cell phone commited ritual sacrifice by throwing itself out of the car and under my tires. It's tragic but I should have a new one maybe Monday-ish. Until then, email?

Also available on DebetEsse's cell until late-ish Sunday morning.

Memorial services are ambivalent until I determine how recently I backed up. If I didn't lose anything, we can bow our heads in thanks.

Compassionately intolerant

Releasing pet health ~ma back into the wild.

Bartleby's oral surgery ended up being much more complex than anticipated. He went in for one broken tooth, but the docs found a jaw abscess and took out two.

He's still in pain, but recovering nicely. What a relief. Many thanks for all good thoughts.

Right. I suppose I ought to post this here? I've not been feeling well for quite some time, and it's probably because I have incredibly high blood pressure. I'm waiting on bloodwork to see if they can find out why, and beginning the quest to find a bp medication that actually works for me.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay. My MRI showed no signs of a tumor or MS.

Next, I get to see yet another specialist - someone who's specialization more closely matches my (latest) diagnosis: a swollen optic nerve.

It sounds like the prognosis for this diagnosis is more positive than for the previous diagnosis, so yay for that too.
