Compassionately intolerant

Congrats for all the good news and a quick request for Please-let-her-be-safe ~ma.

A friend's mom drove away from her home in NoLa, right into the path of the storm and has not been heard from for too long. We are hoping that she and her companion are just holed up somewhere riding it out. All collective wishes to that effect would be greatly appreciated.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I will be dark until Tuesday as I'll be at a con out of town.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Requesting job~ma at 2:00 p.m. board time tomorrow. I have an interview then for what looks like as good of a job as I could hope for WRT location and work that's interesting, responsible, and decently high-paying while not being so all-consuming that I'd never be able to write another word.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I e-mailed with ~t. She's safe and hanging in there. I told her she should stop by if she can so we can squeeze her.

Message from t:

The situation now is: Henry is staying in New York [he's upstate for work] for at least a week, my parents are flying down here, renting a big car and driving back to California with me. It's crazy, but it seems like the best option. So, I'm not going back to check on our stuff till the airport opens.
So, now, gotta sleep because my parents land at 4am and one of us should be well rested to start the drive.
Say hi to the board for me, go ahead and tell them what's up. I will probably have time to check in once I'm at my folks, but not before.

Once she's set we can start with a care package barrage like no other.
