Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

Mostly lurking...

I'm still banning myself from the board, but I stopped by to see how many messages I was behind on. Woah! I sure better get my school work done soon. I've got a lot of posts to catch up on (3,500 in natter alone).

I did want to stop by also, though, and let everyone know WE ARE IN OUR HOUSE!!!! YAY!!!! It only took two days to unload the truck, as opposed to the four days it took to load it. The house is beautiful and amazing. My room is actually quite huge. We have a lot of unpacking still to do, but it will finish eventually.

I got to meet a bunch of the area Buffistas Friday night for the Firefly premier. Everyone is so wonderful. I was telling my parents what a great time I had, and my dad said, "You know, you are really blessed to have found this internet group before we moved. I think they have made this move so much easier for you, and they sound like great people." I can't wait until the Buffy premier tomorow night at Victor's house.

I miss you all. I should be done with this class by Friday, and then I'll be back.

Up with the sun

I'm back from my honeymoon. Montreal is a wonderful city, and the wedding went perfectly. Now I just need to get used to this "work" thing again...

Not javachik

Many thanks to all Buffistas for their hugs and good vibes re my dear sister's car accident on her vacation. It worked!

DS returned home from Colorado last Friday, and is doing well. She has to wear a clamshell brace for 2.5-3 months, even to shower, until the vertabrae heals. That's a drag but still, not bad given the Thelma and Louise circumstances.

Mutual friend SG and I did a commando construction project at DS's house Sat. and power-augered & concreted fence posts for a hand rail down steep steps to DS's house, which we will finish this coming weekend.

Rec'd the police report over the weekend. The car was airborne 34 feet over the imbankment to point of impact, then slid another 16 feet before stopping. Amazing. The Hertz rental 4-door Kia Spectra is totalled. Yay air bags.

Thanks again.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Update on my health: No bad news this time, just a request for vibes of the calming variety Tuesday at noon. I've got my first appointment with the MS specialist, and I'll likely do such momentous things as choose a treatment option, learn what all this brainstem madness is really about, and hear whether or not I can go back to weightlifting again or if I'm relegated to low-intensity exercise. Wish me a clear head.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I now have two first interviews this week. On Thursday I have the one I mentioned on Natter, where the HR person from the employer that strung me along for half the summer is now with a different organization and remembered my name. The second one will probably be on Wednesday afternoon--they left me a voicemail, and I need to call tomorrow morning and confirm the time.

Job vibes appreciated.....

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

My writing/film event (second one on the page -- "Back to Cool on Calhoun," and no, I didn't have any say in the cheesy name) is tonight. Eeeeep. Eeeeep. Eeeeep.

I'm wired. And excited and nervous. I read my piece early, around 7:15-7:30. So any Calm Yet Performance-y vibes would be appreciated.

Average everyday sane/psycho supergoddess

Hi, all. I'm not DEAD!

Always a good thing. I've been dark for the past couple of weeks because (a) a 4 day hiatus from work due to a killer sinus infection, paired with (b) the fact that I discontinued my home access due to economic cutbacks (gee, I sound JUST LIKE my university!!), and (c) the fact that my work schedule has been the busiest ever, and for the past two weeks, I've come home at about 7:30, and passed out by 9:30.

Trudy, I got your package; it saved my life and I feel like an ass for not taking the time to write and say getoutgetoutGETOUT!! No, wait: thankyouthankyouTHANKYOU! You are so nice.

So I'm not dark, but I'm gloomy. And only have 8-5 access. But I missed you all, and hey, new Buffy!

(StompyFootita, I didn't want this lost in Natter. Thanks.)

Ann, that's a ferret.

30 seconds I shouldn't be taking --

I'll be pretty dark this week. Emergency project at work. Hope to watch premiere tonight.

'Bye! See you when I can!
