I need some health-ma, please.
My grandfather, who has been ill off and on for some time, has been admitted back into the hospital with Congestive Heart Failure. He's being medicated, etc and looks like he might be out in a few days, but his mom's birthday is July 20 and there's a big party on the 23rd and, well, I'm just not ready to give him up yet. He was and is a major part of my life and I'm not big enough for him to go yet. And quite frankly, neither is he. He has a great-granddaughter to get to know still. He just needs a bit of help from anywhere we can get it. So please. Prayers, ~~ma, and whatever postive energy you can spare for us.
I'd really appreciate it. I'm gonna go have a good cry.
I'm back from Israel. It was a fantastic trip, and I'll give more details when I'm a bit less jetlagged.

Windsparrow and I are in Texas, heading for Minnesota. I'm posting from free WiFi access at Texas Rest area N2, using Andi's Powerbook.
We would have given an update earlier, but we got out on late Thursday.
We then took a room on Friday in Tucumari, NM to get caught up from all the packing and such. Sleep became an issue.
However, early into the hot and sticky New Mexico night, the enire power grid for the region went out and we were hot, sticky and huddling in the dark. Power finally came on again after about 4 hours, so we finally got some rest.
Well that's about it for now. Andi and I and the cats are making it, we'll keep you posted.

Speaking of Radar... not that you were, we are now in Iowa, posting from a rest area near Ames. Had adventures, some of which weren't too unpleasant. Going to be home in a matter of hours.

Well, I haven't been around much, thanks to the new apartment (and thanks for the ~ma).
I need some of that strong Buffista job~ma now... I just had a second interview at a department for whom I would really like to work.
And, I have a new kitty, an orange tiger named Blondie (I call her Blondie Bear)
So, I bought a condo this morning, signed the papers. Won't be ready until December 2006 (in the unlikely event that it comes in on time), but it's MINE.
