How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Nick (Spawn1)'s Band The Radikills may get to play locally (Cleveland and Columbus) for Warped Tour. To do so, they have to "win" at the Ernie Ball's Battle of the Bands website.

If you would all be so kind, please go here [link] and play their songs The Good Fight and 9 to 5. It's punk, but it's not bad.

I delurk, therefore I am.

Hope it's okay for a lurker to ask for -ma.

I work as a contractor for a rather large company. Our division looked at its numbers, and declared them to be bad, so was told to cut all contractor spending. We thought it might just be for the remainder of the quarter (meaning a two-month unpaid vacation), but it looks like it will be permanent. Rumor is I will be without a job come Friday.

The good news is that my supervisor already approached me about potential openings in another division, so I might just be transferring somewhere within the company. Could use some jobma that this becomes the case.

But what I'm really needing right now is calm-ma. My job history hasn't been great over the last couple of years; I was unemployed for twelve months (in two seperate stints). So my finances are shot and I'm still rebuilding them. I just got caught up on the mortgage payments a week ago; I really can't afford to take another financial hit from unemployment, and I'm freaking about it. So, calm-ma greatly needed. Thanks.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Best of luck, Xnera!

I have a similarly job-related request for -ma, if you can spare it. I've just been for an interview. The guy has already hired my flatmate and 2 of my other colleagues, and in my interview he told me he was 99% sure I'd get an offer of a job, and that he definitely wanted me to come along to a meeting he was having on Sunday with the 3 colleagues I've just mentioned - in short he all but offered me the job.

I want to jump and squee, but the key word is almost.

So could I crave your indulgence in wishing me GetTheJobSoLongAsItReallyIsAsGoodAsItLooks-ma? Please?

Thanks, loves.

I delurk, therefore I am.

Numfar, do the dance of joy! Turns out my dad (yes, I work with him) and one of the supervisors go way back, so the sup pulled some strings and got me into "the hub". They're not entirely sure what I'll be doing, but I'll still have a job come Monday. YAY!!!

Releasing -ma back into the wild. Thanks for the vibes.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

It looks like I may be heading to the Seattle area and northern Oregon in early June. I would love to get together with istas from that area if possible. My profile addy is good.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hey all -- a co-worker of mine is on the board of an animal shelter who has a dog entered in the Second Chance Dog Show competition. If she wins, she gets great publicity for her shelter, so go vote for Jada!

Herding cats for fun

May I have the job~ma for awhile? I am gearing up for computer testing and interview this Thursday & Friday for an interesting, well-paid job. The following Thursday, I have another interview for something nearly as good. It would be so nice to snag a position where the 2.5 years of state service credit I've accumulated would apply. I'm feeling more overwrought and sweaty-palmed than I'd like, so please send some calm, cool & collected~ma so I won’t freak myself out over the sheer number of unemployed people in my immediate family (me, DH, my baby sister).

Also, while I’m asking for stuff: My elderly, beloved cat Chloe has chronic renal failure and is now in her second year of fluid therapy. She could use some hang-in-there~ma.
