Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

no surgery for me! thanks for the bone-healing~ma, or more accurately, the anti-bone-fragment-shifting~ma. so, more ~ma for daniel. having big medical bills and no insurance is something that happened to me once.

Oh, and reciprocal handma for Tommyrot.

Is it just me, or does 'reciprocal handma' sound a lot like 'reciprocal handjob'?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Some good wishes, please, for our football player friend Jerry. His sister's family had a housefire; three of her young boys made it out, but one didn't.

All general good vibes appreciated.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Quick update: I have been approved for Medical Assistance and my hospital stay and meds will be covered.

On the other hand? My aunt Iola now has had a heart attack on top of the stroke and is in ICCU.

I am assuming it's some sort of Karmic Balance thing.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Off to drop Ruby off with Kat and Lori, and then going dark til Monday.

Wish us luck.

A day of extremes:

To Ken and Jessica (Ken is in my writers group), congratulations for their first child(ren): Identical twin boys, Adam and Jack. Happy, healthy, only notable difference being one ounce in birthweight.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I have somewhat elevated blood pressure, nothing to panic over yet, but I have to have some tests done next week. Healthma, specifically in the form of no-preeclampsia-ma, appreciated.

Not javachik

Healing-ma for my mother, please. Her eardrum ruptured last night from sinus/allergy pressure from within. Thanks!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Followup to my ongoing sage.

My Hemoglobin A1C came back. My blood sugar count was between 300-400 for the past three months. My percentage of glycated hemoglobin, where the count was ideally 7% or below? I was at 12%.

This means I'm confirmed as having Diabetes. It could be I've been a person with Diabetes for a looong time.

The leg wound is not healing fast enough for my doctor, and I am going to see a specialist on Monday to check some things out and if I might need surgery to muck it out. (TMI?)

Also, apparently the hospital staff was supposed to schedule me for Diabetes education and did not. The doctor was visibly upset I had not attended classes already (not with me, for me).

Still no insulin, but my blood sugar has been rising since I stared taking a new antibiotic, so I'll talk to the doctor again. If anyone has suggestions for quickly reducing a blood sugar spike, beyond the exercising I'm already doing, let me know.

If this all sounds depressing, I'm actually optimistic. Identifying the reason why I've been getting unfocused in my job hunt and other things like screencaps is a relief. Treatment can only help.

Besides, despite the bed rest and inactivity? I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks. And that's on a 2200 calorie doctor-mandated diabetes control diet.

I should get back to the job hunt soon. With this leg, I'd hate to take a job sitting in one spot all day again. If anyone has some good and legit sources for home-based working, let me know. I can still write a good stick when I'm motivated.

In other news, my aunt Iola just had another stroke on top of the heart attack. Sigh.

Self-stomped on basis that Daniel has posted significantly since this, and must have read it by now.
