That's the thrill of living in the Hellmouth! There's a veritable cornucopia of fiends and devils and ghouls to engage ... Pardon me for finding the glass half-full.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Hullo! I just wanted to let ya'll know that I'm back in the States safely from Rome, in Cincy, after having a wonderful time. Were I not so exhausted and jetlagged I would extol the virtues of one Ms. Stephl and her lovely abode, but I'm really pooped and thus go onwards to sleep. I'll have many, many pictures up soon for those who'd like to see them (I took over one thousand). Ciao!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Just got news that my sister-in-law has been diagnosed with lupus. She's in her thirties, and has a blended family of six kids, including an infant. My father-in-law has had lupus for many years, and it has had quite an effect on him. We're upset to think that what he's been struggling with for so long is now her struggle too.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

I am logging out for about ten days, for more hospital fun. Everybody be well. BTW: My article on TV-on-DVD influencing studios should be in the Star Tribune (Twin Cities) variety section Sunday next. Buffista Board (and others) are mentioned in 'graphs about online fan efforts. Thanks to everyone who pitched in.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Big Ass Shiny Lawfirm (for which I did a reverse commute for a month and then interviewed for three times and then did not hear from for two months) called this morning and requested my presence for the week.

If this goes well I could be nicely employed by Valentines Day.

Any Nothing-Short-of-Perfection-ma that can be sent to NYC is probably critically necessary (if only to stop me from having a coronary)

::mwah:: and see you all soon

If I only had a brain...

Could I have some unspecific-ma for tomorrow afternoon, Pacific time? Thanks very much, and sorry for the veiled posting.

Thrive to spite them

I really need jobma. There's nothing specific going on, hence the need for ~ma. So if anyone can spare some just send it my way.

All is well that ends in pizza.

When it rains it pours.

My left leg started swelling last week and I thought it was too much sitting, so I elevatedit, took a water pill, etc. Over the weekend, it got worse, and on Tuesday it was very eveident that it was infected down on my calf. Being unempoyed and on no health plan, I bit the bullet and went to the doctor.

He almost put me in the hospital as I have a massive infection. He wants me to keepnit elevated and and take time off from job hunting. If it does not get better by Friday? Hospital. He sends me for bloodwork and the like. Takes three vampires to finally find and draw blood.

So I shell out $150 for meds and who knows what I'll pay for the dr's visit? I also stopped by the county and applied for medical assistance.

After I got home, the doctor himself called because some of my bloodwork came back. I may also have diabetes, as a count of 475 is pretty damn high.

More tests Friday.

Please send healthma.

'Til we dance away...

I don't think I've ever posted in Beep Me before, but I need all kinds of -ma. The week that started with my purse getting stolen has just gotten much worse.

This afternoon while driving home from school, I was the middle car in a three car accident. The car in front of me stopped while attempting to merge onto the freeway, and I slammed on my brakes and stopped in time. However, the car behind me hit my rear end at full speed, pushing me into the car in front of me and then my car did a full 180 degree turn off the road and ended up on the shoulder facing the wrong direction.

I appear to be unhurt so far, but my car looks pretty damn bad. The muffler was on the ground, the hood won't open, the radiator is pushed out of place, and I don't know what the underside is like, as it appears the hood of the car behind me actually went under my back end. In short, every panel except the roof and the doors is severely damaged. It's a two year old Jetta, so it takes a lot to total it, but that's what I'm hoping for right now.
