Big stop just to renew your license to companion. Can I use companion as a verb?

If I only had a brain...

Liilty Cash:

Want helper monkey.

Deb:

No you don't. They fling poo madly about and can transmit things like Marburg and Ebola. Get a eunuch, or something. Easier to train, less likely to infect you with stuff.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

The Unknown Buffista was Lilty Cash (Deb may have been quoting me, since I repeated the helper-monkey desire, but Lilty was the originator).

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

(KristinT, did you know that you can volunteer to be a helper monkey foster parent? Like seeing eye dogs, they have to be raised well and socialized for the first couple (~7) years till they're old enough to be trained for their work. However, the foundation wants 'parents' who have taken dogs or other animals through advanced training, like competitive obedience, because baby monkeys are serious commitments.)

Heather Alayne:

the whole "Well it's fine when girls kiss (even and possibly especially if they're straight), but boys kissing is icky" thing exposes a whole mess of views I find make my eyes roll for days.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Lilty Cash, who heartlessly got a replacement fish before the first one was quite dead and then discovers the first one recovering, in Bitches:

I thought he was a goner for sure. I mean, floating face above water doesn't bode well, in a fish.

Tobias won't like this. He was like a renter reading obituaries for apartment vacancies.

What is even happening?

WindSparrow: I should perhaps note for the record that I have spent the last seven years geographically isolated from A) both my gay boyfriends, B) all the Austen-appreciating girlfriends I have, and C) movie theaters that play chick flicks not featuring either Julia Roberts or ... that cute little girl who used to be in Steven King movies... oh, right, Drew Barrymore. For some reason I kept pulling up Barry Goldwater for her name, and knew that was wrong, wrong, wrong.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

erikaj, in Bitches:

I went Buff Diving for vanity points, and did not find myself once...I did find three funny kitty stories right in a row...it was like Hec's worst nightmare.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Literary Ginger:

Things made from books really disturb me. With very few exceptions, I think of books as sacred objects. There are a few books I think would have a higher calling as furniture, but a bedroom made entirely out of Ethan Frome is a pretty disturbing idea too.

Compassionately intolerant

DCJ in Bitches:

It amazes me that the same people that can't parse the concepts of choice and freedom have no problem with the words fornication and abstenence.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

In Natter 30, on the wisdom of after-dinner treats.

shrift:

Today's fortune cookie told me that I have "an active mind and a keen imagination."

That's 'cause of the drugs, oh fortune cookie mine.

Dana:

Mine last night said something like "Action is more valuable than advice."

Thanks. Would have been great if you were an ACTION cookie, then.
