In Natter, after Amych's upthread query re: speed of -ma:

Emily:It is of course notoriously difficult to measure the effects or time-to-impact of -ma, since once the need for -ma is observed the observer is immediately involved in the -ma process.

Nilly: Schrodinger's -ma, of course - once you notice it, you change it.

Gus: We posit that "Good" and "Bad" are two states applicable to –ma and karmic fields. The states are mutually repellent (possibly due to anti-charm). Therefore, good-ma propagates less freely in a bad-karma field. As Emily notes, the good/bad state of the observer may also enter into the describing mathematics.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Cass: I am going to shower and change out of my cranky pants into something a little friendlier.

NoiseDesign: Leather, and stockings, and...

Oh wait, sorry, the voices in my head won out for a minute.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

More of the Cass and NoiseDesign show, in Bitches:

Cass: What is the appropriate sacrifice for a computer? I never can recall.

NoiseDesign: You have to tie it to an inverted cross and then dance around it naked under a full moon.

Cass: No goats? I thought there were goats...

NoiseDesign: Not since we moved to multithreaded operating systems.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Skyzy in Natter:

I hate to admit, but I was Milton from Office Space at my last company. We kept downsizing and each time we would downsize, I would get moved to a farther corner of the office, away from everyone. Each time I would leave on a business trip, I would come back to find my stapler gone.

And, I had been laid off a year prior to me actually leaving the company (when they finally "fixed the glitch"). Even still, after they laid me off officially, the second time, I got a call from the company asking why I hadn't been to work in over a month and why I still hadn't accepted their job offer (which they sent the week after I was laid off to the office where I no longer worked).

Elena in Movies:

The only thing that will make a Bewitched movie worthwhile for me is if they suddently switch Darrins halfway through the film without any explanation.

Not exactly sure if it is a spoiler, but just to be on the safe side...

ETA: took out the spoiler font

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Not a spoiler. Just funny.
