Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity? Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hil sets 'er up, and Betsy knocks 'em down:

Hil: Proper YIVO Yiddish says "yarmlke."

Betsy Hanes Perry: YIVO?

Now I'm imagining a digital recorder saying "Nu, you're watching that naked vampire again? Your mother would die."

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

When Natter turns to geography:

ita: Which are Pacific Theatres?

John: My first thought was of WWII and the Philippines. But I guess that's not what you meant.

I Shall Return!

If I only had a brain...

Madrigal in Natter:

I stopped believing in the tooth fairy when I found out that other kids got stuff in exchange for the teeth. For us the tooth fairy was more like a garbage man, coming in early in the morning, banging against stuff and cursing and roughly extracting the material then stomping away. Or maybe hearing our father step on legos and Barbies was supposed to be the reward instead of money.

Betsy in FanFiction

They are having a winter storm in Charlotte, and I feel all wistful.

Where do I go for a lobotomy?

MM: Michigan Mosquitoes may very well be the Primal Evil of every culture ever.

Dana: Spoken like someone who didn't grow up in New Orleans. Hi, we're a swamp, and we don't really have winter. Our mosquitoes eat your mosquitoes for breakfast.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

t triumphant I got here first.

Madrigal [re. SR]:

Yes, she was hurt, and she wouldn't have been able to fight back as easily, but it's not like she was in traction and Spike had forgotten whether one blink meant yes or no.

connie:

Madrigal, that was not an image I needed.

BHP:

Okay, now I'm disturbed.

Madrigal:

Like John Waters film disturbed or Precious Moments Wedding Chapel disturbed?

John H:

Personally I'd put it around the "John Waters/David Lynch collaboration in a movie about a Precious Moments Wedding Chapel" mark...

BHP:

Starring Crispin Glover and Christopher Guest.

John H:

And the Olsen Twins.

Madrigal:

Ooooh. I have startled the Buffistas. This is such an accomplishment, like getting a mall santa to give the finger in a professional portrait.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

RL beat me to it. The whole thing.

You sip / say it's your crazy / straw say it's you're crazy / as you bicycle your soul / with beauty in your basket

Which I laid out typing with one hand as I ate my sandwich with the other.

I was sure someone was going to beat me to it, and my agonized slow don't-get-jelly-on-the-keyboard effort of typing would have been for nothing, and I would have felt silly, not that I don't feel silly most of the time.

There was a good reason for the triumph dance.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

The Buffy episode "Seeing Red."
