"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I just finished Broadchurch. It is really good, but a bit slow for the first 6 episodes (out of 8).I feel like the show could have been cut in half. Broadchurch is what the US "The Killing" should have been, but it is probably too short for AMC.

The last episode is just absolutely brutal.

I said to Beau during the 2nd ep, man the killer better not be "that person" and it was. But the way they handled it was devastating.

ita !, were you in Toronto in '93? That's the year I lived in London.

The only team I could name would be Manchester United.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Toronto?

93 was split between Montreal and Detroit. I lived in the UK from 81-87.

eta: I was a pretty solid Spurs fan, inasmuch as I liked football. I much preferred cricket, though, and was all Somerset all the time.

ARGH. Why did I say Toronto? I can remember McGill, but not the name of the city?!

Ann, that's a ferret.

There's also love for Liverpool on this board. (Although I believe they should (1) sell Luis Suarez, (2) use the money to buy a good defender, preferably one who won't lose a month or more every season to suspension, and (3) recall Andy Carroll from loan.)

Maybe you can remedy that.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Uh, except we don't close threads until 30,000 now. So...we'll have to spend a lot of time talking about Colin Firth and whatnot.
