I have to confess, I've ironed newspapers. A friend in England wrapped and padded a boxful of Christmas presents in newspaper. I smoothed out a sheet which happened to be a front page with a sensational murder trial report. The other pages were so wrinkled and crumpled, I wound up ironing all th pages so I could read all the titillating horrid evidence about the murders. The ads were fun, too. The newspaper may have been the best present she sent, that year.
All Ogle, No Cash -- It's Not Just Annoying, It's Un-American
Discussion of episodes currently airing in Un-American locations (anything that's aired in Australia is fair game), as well as anything else the Un-Americans feel like talking about or we feel like asking them. Please use the show discussion threads for any current-season discussion.

I shall henceforth wrap all Buffista secret santa presents in crumpled newspaper.
I'm surprised you can iron modern newspapers. They used to be made of much higher quality material, not being quite so mass-produced. They're thin and inky now.
Anyone see the first ep of 'Episodes' last night? So far not the greatest thing to come out of the BBC, but quite fun (and the kind of slightly awkward comedy that I like, without overdoing that). The satirising of what US TV does to UK shows was amusing.
No! I meant to watch it and forgot! Thanks for the reminder, I'll catch up on iPlayer tonight. I lurve me some Tamsin Greig.
What a brilliant cast: [link] Anyone have any pre-buzz on Mad Dogs?
With a cast like that, I doubt I'll even care whether the plot's any good.
I'd watch John Simm read the newspaper. The rest of those guys are just gravy. Beautiful spicy gravy.
No idea if this will be any good, but there's going to be an online spin-off of Being Human timed to start alongside the new series. [link]
Tonight's Primeval had me so tense, I had to take a break! Phew. That scene in the cafeteria was inTENSE.
In contrast to last week, last night's Primeval felt like a placeholder episode with no movement forward in any of the story arcs. Feh.
Tonight's Being Human, on the other hand, was fantastic. I was totally riveted every minute. This may be the best series yet!
