It was another rather low-key birthday; my fault for having it on a Monday, the busiest day of our week. But R. and I went out for an Italian meal in the evening which was rather lovely. So: roll on another year.

happy new year from down under, it has been 2010 for almost 2 hours now and unfortunately it seems that it'll be just as miserable as the last few have been, hope that is not the case for all

you too hec and jz and the 2 little ones although one of them is not so little anymore I suppose, I am desperately trying to catch up with some of the goings-on around here so I don't feel so much of an outsider. Eyes are going bleary though in the attempt to skim through thousands of posts. Hope everybody is doing ok, and I'm raising my champagne flute to you all.
