"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Happy Birthday, Angus!

Jim, y'all translated the date into American! You're just the nicest kind of UnAmerican in the history of ever.

...actually, no, I might have to fight you for that title, upon reflection - I'm teaching small Egyptian children to be American (rather than British). Or at least to speak and spell and know about all things American (rather than British). So we both rock. Or something.

...Nilly? I'm looking into the possibility of going to Israel some time this year and I was wondering whether it might be possible to visit you some time, maybe possibly? In a Middle Eastern UnAmerican Buffista kind of way?

Ohmygosh, I just had a probably-totally-unfeasible-but-very-exciting notion. Serenity premieres in Israel in October at the Icon Film Festival. Have you any idea when that might be? Because it would be INEXPRESSIBLY COOL to go and see Serenity with you, if that were possible. I caught it once, on August 24th, in Edinburgh, but (a) I need to see it again and again and again and (b) I should LOVE to see it with you, and talk about it with you once you saw it. That would just be fantastic. Is it completely impossible?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Because it would be INEXPRESSIBLY COOL to go and see Serenity with you,

Oooh!

And having met you both, I can vouch that you'd have a good time together.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh, Fay, you and Nilly should definitely do that!

Fay!

I have quite a limited internet access these days (what with being away for quite a few days due to the holidays), so I only saw your post now. Are you still planing on coming? And the "Serenity" thing, too?

You have no profile address, so I can't e-mail you with any questions or details. But could you e-mail me, if it's still relevant? I'll be more than happy to hang out with you, if you indeed plan to visit here! I can offer a mattress, too, if it can help. Oh, I wish I had seen your post sooner!
