I'm going to be visiting my father in Bangor, Wales for two weeks, arriving this Sunday. I'm not sure if any Buffistas live near there, but if anyone would like a get-together, let me know! My profile address is fine (or you could just mention it here).

Have a lovely day.
Fun fun fun.

Happy Anniversary, London.
Oh, bloody marvellous. Yesterday 3 more bombs on tube trains and one on a bus in London, AND the police shoot some bloke dead (who had bloody well BETTER have been guilty as sin, and even if he was, I'm still very disconcerted that they just shot him dead). Today there's another frigging bomb in Egypt. Great. Fabulous. Yay.
I'm flying back to Blighty on the 26th/27th. Wonder what fun things will be happening then?
Today there's another frigging bomb in Egypt.
That's a bit of an understatement. Glad you are alright, Fay. My sympathies to the Egyptians and to those who got hurt or lost loved ones.
My sympathy to every nation and people who are victims of terrorist attack.
It was an understatement, wasn't it? But that was all the information that was available at the time when I went to bed - just that there had been a bomb, singular.
Christ.
I'm just bogarting the thread, aren't I?
Looks like police shot the wrong guy.
Great. Peachy. Yay for armed police. Not.
Damn. That's just horrible.
Oh my word. The man was essentially shot for wearing a coat in July then, yes? Was he running from the police? The only reports I saw on the incident were early ones, and they were sparse on details. That poor man and his family. I don't quite know how to say this, but I also feel sorry for the officers involved. I don't know how a person lives with the knowledge that he's done something like that.
