Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I don't think there are any londonistas any more

Isn't AmChau in London?

Bloody hell. We'd been doing quite well with the whole no-major-terrorist attacks for a bit there.

hip deep in pie

Am-chau posted on her LJ that she's not in London.

What is even happening?

Fay, is your family in London? I'm assuming all is well with your loved ones.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Hoping that any Londinistas are ok.

In other news, G and I are going to be in Glasgow for a little over a week in the beginning of August.(WorldCon, then siteseeing) I don't remember if there are any Buffistas within shouting distance, but we'd love to meet up with any for dinner or something.

I wonder if the IRA will be mad at the Islamic terrorists.

Ha! I was talking earlier about how the 'ra will probably be really pissed off that they didn't think of it first. And then probably start beating the shit out of brown people. Ah, terrorism.

It took a few hours for us to get word of all our relatives and friends, but everyone's now accounted for. I hope everyone else here is as lucky. London will tick along like it always does. If it could take the Luftwaffe and the IRA for dog knows how many years, I don't think this'll worry them too much.

My family are in Yorkshire, please God - one never quite knows, with them, but afaik that's where they are. I'm not sure about all my friends, though.

I think bad news generally travels faster than good news, Fay. If anything was up, I'm sure you'd know by now. How's the news coverage been in Egypt?

Family all OK - none are in London. I've several friends who could be involved, but don't know when I'll hear from them.

I was in a lot of the affected areas just a couple of months ago. It doesn't bear thinking about.

If I only had a brain...

This picture pretty much sums it up (no gore): [link]

For those keeping track, here is an update on my pregnancy situation.

I feel like I've spent the past 11 weeks doing little else but battling doctors and authorities. However, things have been otherwise uneventful, which is GOOD.

But now we're getting closer to my due date (I'm 33 weeks now), my status is becoming rather more critical again. So in about 2 weeks I'll be going back to hospital for more bedrest and checks. Right now it's a matter of getting through the next few weeks without another bleed, though my OB thinks going straight away would be unwarranted, hence the waiting two weeks. I'm grateful for this, because it means I can enjoy my last few days alone with B. and get things ready for our new family member.

At about 38 weeks at the latest, provided I haven't have the Big Bad Bleed, they'll do an elective c-section.

I'm working on picking a hospital with internet access, though it's not guaranteed (stoopid 20th century clinics).
