Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Bob Stanley who writes for the Times is the St Eteinne one. You really are rubbing shoulders with giants, Hec...

Then I'll look for it on Friday. Wait, this friday or the next one?

To every idea a shelf...

Just finished watching Ep 1, Season 2 of Carnivale and it was incredible. The juicy details are really coming out now and I think there was more information given out in this one episode than in the entire first season. On top of that, there was some beautiful cinematography and some amazing scenes.

Aw man, I'm so jealous. The season finale was awesome but just as frustrating as many Buffistas said it would be. I'd totally take you up on your generous offer but my brick of a computer wouldn't be able to play it and neither would my picky toddler of a DVD player.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Emlah ... are you sure your computer couldn't play a .avi file, or your dvd player couldn't play VCD (even the cheapest modern players can handle VCD)? I can still send you a copy of the disc and you could maybe watch it at someone else's house.

Well, my computer pretty much can't play anything at all, because the media players on it are crap and it doesn't have the capacity for anything better. And anything I've ever tried to play on my DVD player other than bonafide bought DVDs has refused to even read. But the latter idea is intriguing: lemme sound out some friends about whether they'd watch them with me.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Huh. Captain Scarlet is being remade. [link]

And heh:

Ironically, while Anderson is taking “hyper-marrionation” to a new level, the new hit film Team America:World Police has revived the approach of the original puppet-on-a-string Thunderbirds.

Anderson said he was flattered by the homage, adding: “Anything is better than the Thunderbirds film.”

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The article in the Times of London about Lost In The Grooves is up.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I keep seeing toys from the new Magic Roundabout everywhere I go. Ever since I found out what it was, they seem to pop up everywhere.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Looks like we got a nice bump from the Times review. From my co-editor Kim...

In further Amazon news, after the Times of London piece came out, we were briefly #2115 on the Amazon.co.uk bestseller list. That's good!
