Yeah, I looked also. On the plus side, I did find one article by Bob Stanley, so he really does work there. I hope it turns up.
Hec - insent.
Fi, that's my work addy in my profile so I won't get to it until Monday. Try hecubot@gmail.com.
Bob Stanley? The Saint Etienne Bob Stanley? He also had a cool little indie 7" label in the late 80s/early 90s called Caff.
David, I looked on both the Times and the Times Literary Supplement, and I couldn't find an article on your book. I'll keep my eye out.
The writer said it got bumped - probably to reappear this coming Friday. We'll see.
[I forwarded to you other email address, David. Sorry for the thread hijack.]
Just finished watching Ep 1, Season 2 of Carnivale and it was incredible. The juicy details are really coming out now and I think there was more information given out in this one episode than in the entire first season. On top of that, there was some beautiful cinematography and some amazing scenes. If any Aussies want a copy of this episode and episode 2, let me know and I'll burn them to one disk as a VCD. Alternatively, I can just copy them to disc as raw .avi files. They were recorded from HD-TV, so look gorgeous and I'm not sure if the VCD process will dimish the quality of them.
eta: apparently Ep 3 is about to be broadcast in the US, so as soon as it appears on bittorrent I'll be grabbing it. Therefore, you may get the first 3 eps instead. :)
The Bob stanley who writes for the Times is the St Eteinne on. You really are rubbing shoulders with giants, Hec...
