I loved the first season of
Carnivale,
but I didn't feel that anything had really been achieved by the end of it. It was almost as if the entire season was the pilot. An astonishingly good pilot, yes, but I'd occassionally like something to actually
happen.
Edited because it just occured to me to check when the new series was starting over here, and apparently it started last night. Arse. I may have to engage in some morally dubious downloading.
I've only seen, like. one. And I was puzzled.
Bad HBO viewer, bad.
Would I like it?
(And I'm trusting you to keep sideshow humor to a minimum, ok?)
Would I like it?
Depends on your tolerance for Twin Peaks. It's pretty effin' slow and atmospheric. On the plus side - plenty dark. Honestly though? I don't think you'd be into it. It's not as strongly written as the stuff you prefer.
TOLERANCE for Twin Peaks. Seriously, for me, before Buffy, the only TV show ever to capture me was Twin Peaks!
Just noticed that
Buffy
returns to Seven ... on
Sunday
night at 10:40PM. It's followed by
The X Files.
Of course, it will then not be seen for a couple of weeks b/c of the tennis coverage but that's par for the course with commercial TV.
What's to be warned about re Season 4 of Farscape?
By the way, a certain person has been
making fun of me
on another forum for outing myself as a Farscape fan!
I liked Twin Peaks, but it was kind of "WTF?" for me too...I liked it without understanding some of what was on the screen, to be honest.
Well, he's named himself.
